The Spirits Business is looking for a skilled writer to join its small but dynamic editorial team on a six-month fixed-term contract.

As content writer, the successful candidate will work alongside the editorial and commercial teams, creating commercial content for both the monthly print magazine, website and social media platforms. There will also be opportunities to write non-commercial news and features.

The ideal candidate will be a skilled writer who is able to bring brands’ core messages to the masses through their words.

Key duties and responsibilities will include:

1. Writing news stories for the website daily
2. Writing sponsored content for both the website and monthly magazine
3. Conducting and writing Q&A interviews for both print and online (both sponsored and editorial)
4. Creating sponsored social media posts across our key platforms: Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn
5. Supporting the commercial team and events team

1. NCTJ qualification is preferable, but not essential
2. Editorial experience: at least one year working on an editorial title
3. A keen eye for grammar and accuracy is a must
4. Knowledge of the spirits industry is not essential, but a demonstrable interest is welcomed
5. Solid understanding of SEO
